FPGA Design Engineer

Location: Cambridge (CB25)Duration: Permanent Hours: 37.5 per week, flexible working, including up to 3 days per week working from homeSalary: CompetitiveJob Reference: 36054We are seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to join our client''s expanding development team, based a few miles north of Cambridge. You will be working on high performance products used globally across defence, industrial and security applications. Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development of reusable FPGA modules to support a broad product range - Work collaboratively with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to bring new technology to market - Write timing constraints, interpret timing reports and adjust designs to ensure timing closure - Bring value with experience in Python based verification frameworks, such as cocotb (highly advantageous)Requirements:- Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog- Experience with Python- Proven background in RTL verification- Ability to write and validate timing constraints- Understanding of low power design principles- Experience writing module specifications and reviewing technical documentation- Code and documentation review to established standards- Familiarity with: * Linux command line * Version control systems (SVN or Git) * Markdown- Commitment to engineering best practice and high quality FPGA developmentApplicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
