Position: Foundation Stage 1 Teacher

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: -130 - -190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

As a Foundation Stage 1 Teacher in Sheffield, you will support children in the early stages of their education, helping them develop communication, social skills, confidence and independence.

The Foundation Stage 1 Teacher role will involve creating stimulating learning experiences, encouraging play-based exploration and supporting children''s individual development in line with the setting''s curriculum and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging early years activities
• Support children''s learning through play-based experiences
• Promote communication, language and social development
• Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment
• Observe and monitor children''s progress
• Work closely with early years staff and parents where appropriate
• Follow safeguarding and setting procedures

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) where the teaching role requires it
• Experience working with children in an early years setting
• Understanding of early childhood development
• Patient, caring and creative approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
