We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fostering Social Worker for Gateshead social servicesYou need to be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England and have experience in fostering to apply for this role.Duties include:Support and Supervision of Foster CarersProvide regular supervision visits and ongoing professional supportOffer advice on behaviour management, attachment, trauma, and safeguardingSupport carers during placements, including crisis interventionPromote carers'' emotional wellbeing and resilienceEnsure foster carers understand safeguarding policies and proceduresRespond to allegations, concerns, or complaints involving foster carersWork closely with child protection teams and regulatory bodiesEnsure children''s welfare is always the paramount concernContribute to placement matching to meet children''s individual needsSupport carers in implementing care plans and placement agreementsAttend and contribute to reviews, planning meetings, and professionals'' meetingsPromote stability and permanency for childrenIdentify carers'' training and development needsSupport carers to meet national fostering standards and competenciesEncourage reflective practice and continuous learningEnsure children''s views, wishes, and feelings are heard and respectedPromote children''s education, health, and emotional wellbeingSupport carers to help children maintain positive identity and relationshipsAdvocate for children when necessaryWork collaboratively ..... full job details .....
