This is your chance to use your crisis management and care experience in a more personal, long-term way.This could be your most rewarding role yet - offering not just care, but a sense of belonging and hope for the future.What is Step Forward Fostering?Step Forward Fostering is a groundbreaking project that supports young people who have experienced trauma, instability, and loss, helping them move from residential care into a safe and supportive home.These young people aren''t just looking for shelter - they need someone like you: a calm, caring adult who can offer stability, emotional safety, and a trusted relationship built over time.As a Step Forward Foster Carer, you''ll be supported by an experienced professional team. You''ll never be alone on this journey.What You''ll Receive:We know caring for a young person with complex needs requires more than goodwill - it requires comprehensive support.Specialist Support:* Your own Senior Practitioner offering regular supervision and guidance* A Family Wellbeing Worker to support both you and your foster child* A Hub Carer providing up to 28 days of planned short breaks per year* Peer support from a network of other Step Forward Carers* Ongoing training in trauma-informed care and neurodevelopmental needs* Access to therapeutic and psychological supportWe offer generous allowances so you can focus fully on providing consistent care.* £1,052 per week while you have a child placed with you (around £54,704 per year)* £408 per week retainer between placements (up to £21,216 annually)* Extra allowances for birthdays, holidays, and cultural celebrations* Tax exemptions specifically for foster carersIs This You?We are looking for Paramedics who are:* Passionate about supporting vulnerable people beyond the front line* Skilled at remaining calm under pressure and building trust quickly* Resilient, empathetic, and emotionally grounded* Ready to bring their crisis care experience into a stable home settingTake the next step in your career and become a Step Forward Foster Carer.
