Forklift Operator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. 

Summary of the Forklift Operator role 

Salary: £28,457.52 per annum + shift allowance £3288.96 
Location: Bedford 
Type of Contract: Permanent  
Hours: Working 4 on 4 off, rotational days and nights 

Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator

• Diagnose and report faults on packaging machinery
• Work to production targets
• Remove completed pallets from Production Lines and load trucks using a forklift truck
• Complete stitcher checks
• Label and wrap pallets ready for dispatch and make sure all products that are packed are formatted correctly with correct labels.
• Pack on production lines when necessary  

Requirements for a successful Forklift Operator

• Valid counterbalance forklift license
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong IT skills with experience using Excel
