Forklift Mechanic

Our client are a supplier of forklifts, scissor lifts and cherry pickers who are recruiting a skilled mechanic to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for routine preventative maintenance, repairs and pre-delivery inspections and prep of new equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical and electrical expertise, combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair and fabrication. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on forklifts Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using schematics and diagnostic tools Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques Assist with assembly of parts or equipment modifications to improve performance or safety standards Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards Qualifications Proven experience in equipment repair with a focus on forklifts or similar machinery Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience Experience in assembly, maintenance programmes, and troubleshooting ..... full job details .....
