About the Role
Pertemps North Midlands is recruiting a Forklift Driver for a full-time, temp-to-perm position in Tamworth, paying £13–£14 per hour. This role involves day shifts within a family-owned manufacturing business operating for over four decades. Duties include order picking around 200 items daily across an 8,000 sq ft warehouse, booking stock in and putting away, transporting goods between production and storage areas, stock taking, re-boxing smaller orders, and unloading deliveries. Candidates must follow written safety procedures and standard operating practices independently. A calm, proactive approach and proven forklift skills are essential for this productive warehouse team role.

An established, family-owned manufacturing business with over 40 years of experience is seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Driver to join its highly productive warehouse team.
The successful candidate will be calm, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Following written procedures for safe working and standard operating practices
- Order picking within an 8,000 sq ft warehouse (approximately 200 picks per day)
- Booking in stock and putting away
- Transporting stock between manufacturing and warehouse facilities
- Stock taking and inventory control
- Re-boxing and weighing smaller orders
- Booking in returned products
- Goods inwards: unloading and storing raw materials
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
- Valid external forklift licence (Reach and Counterbalance)
- Full, clean UK driving licence, to permit you to operate the company van
- Experience in a fast-moving warehouse environment
- Excellent command of the English language
- Trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision
- Calm under pressure with a proactive approach
- Courteous and professional when dealing with customers
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
- £14.00 per hour with annual salary reviews
