Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative

Wellingborough | Monday–Friday | 8:00am–5:00pm | Up to £13.60 per hour | Temp to Perm

Our client, a well-established warehouse and distribution business based in Wellingborough, is looking to recruit an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join their growing team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with forklift experience who is happy to undertake a varied role combining forklift duties with general warehouse responsibilities.

As a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for the safe movement, storage, receipt, and dispatch of goods throughout the warehouse. This role will involve operating forklifts as well as supporting day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

• Operating Counterbalance and Reach Truck forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading vehicles using forklift trucks and other MHE.
• Moving stock to designated warehouse locations.
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
• Carrying out stock replenishment and inventory checks.
• Handballing loose cartons and materials when required.
• Checking incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy and damage.
• Using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Following all company health & safety policies and procedures.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• Valid Reach Truck licence.
• Previous forklift and warehouse experience.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety practices.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.

• PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) experience or licence.
• Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems.
• Previous experience within a distribution or logistics environment.

• Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

• Up to £13.60 per hour
• Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 5:00pm
