Forklift Driver

Impact Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Kettering to recruit a Forklift Driver to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of the yard and workshop, ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently and the working environment remains organised and tidy.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Salary: -14.50 per hour

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift across the yard and workshop.
• Load and unload materials and products.
• Move materials and stock around the site as required.
• Support the production and workshop teams with the movement of materials.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised yard.
• Work with urgency to ensure materials are available when required.
• Carry out tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Follow all relevant Health & Safety procedures and site requirements.
• Identify and report any issues relating to materials, equipment or the working environment.
• Support the wider team with general yard and warehouse duties when required.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the yard and workshop.

Requirements:

• MUST hold an in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• MUST have a UK Driving License or Motorbike License
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
• Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment.
• Able to work with urgency and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
