Forklift Truck Driver / Yard Operative - MANUAL HANDLING REQUIRED and OPTIONAL OVERTIMESalary: Up to £28,000 plus overtimeHours: 7:30am - 4:00pm (40 hours per week)Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidaysOur client is seeking a dependable Forklift Truck Driver / Yard Operative to join their proactive operations team. This role involves supporting daily yard activities, preparing equipment for despatch, and safely loading and unloading vehicles using forklifts.Manual handling and heavy lifting are integral to this role.Key Responsibilities:Attend daily toolbox talks at 7:30am to ensure safety and communicationMaintain a clean, safe and organised yard environment at all timesAccurately select equipment using load listsSafely load and unload vehicles using counterbalance forklifts and telehandlersSecure loads on trailers with ratchet straps in line with health and safety regulationsAssist with stock control and prepare equipment for despatchCarry out equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance tasksSupport annual stock audits as requiredComplete load lists and yard paperwork accurately and promptlyCandidate Requirements:Valid forklift licence (essential)Previous experience in a yard, warehouse or operations environmentComfortable with manual handling and heavy liftingExcellent attention to detailAbility to work safely and adhere to established proceduresOvertime Rates:Monday to Friday after 8 hours: 1.5x hourly rateSaturday: 1.5x hourly rateSunday: 1.5x hourly rateBank ..... full job details .....
