Job description for Forklift Driver

Our client is looking to recruit several forklift drivers due to business demand. You will be driving powered industrial trucks to load, unload and move the stock and deliveries to various locations in the warehouse, such as storage areas, loading docks etc.

Internal assessment, which includes practical and written tests must be passed before your assignment can start. You would need to have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and independent, safety conscious and be able to work in a fast pace and busy environment.

Ideally you will have an in-date FLT licence (ITSAAR or equivalent), however In-house licenses and/or out of date licenses will also be considered, if you have experience in the last 6 months

Duties of Forklift Driver:

• Move goods packed on pallets around the warehouse
• Stack goods in the correct storage bays, racking etc following inventory control instructions
• Ensure loads are secure
• Complete paperwork for delivery notes and stock control if requested
• Scan the pallets and keep accurate record of stock movement (training will be provided)
• Make sure the truck is operating safely and checked daily
• Report any breakdowns, spills, or malfunctions to the Manager
• Assist with other loading activities as requested
