MMP Consultancy is seeking a Foot Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a Private Hospital based in Central London. The successful candidate will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of essential systems, ensuring the hospital''s facilities are safe, operational, and maintained to the highest standards.

This is a temp to perm position to start as soon as possible for 12 weeks, subject to extension or to be made permanent. The working hours will vary but will typically be 37.5 hours per week between 8am and 4pm, with possible overtime in the evenings and weekends. The standard pay rate will be -26ph via an umbrella company and overtime (anything before 7am and after 7pm, or on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays) will be -39ph via an umbrella company.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake planned, reactive, corrective and project works in line with your core trade.
  • Provide technical support within your designated engineering discipline.
  • Liaise with and escort specialist sub-contractors across sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults on M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
  • Ensure all work is delivered within agreed SLAs, with accurate, real-time updates using a mobile device.
  • Maintain plant rooms, workshops, rest areas and stores to the highest housekeeping standards.
  • Provide quotations for works, materials and liaise with suppliers.
  • Carry out Competent Person or Authorised Person duties, where trained and applicable.

Requirements:

  • Minimum City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
  • Valid CSCS or relevant Trade Card.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar multi-skilled engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of building services systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads efficiently.
  • HTM (Healthcare Technical Memoranda) Competent Person/Authorised Person qualifications.
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent inspection & testing certification.
  • Previous experience in healthcare environments.
  • Experience with CAFM systems (e.g., Concept Evolution).
  • Be physically capable - lifting, stretching, climbing ladders and manual handling of equipment.
  • Wear appropriate PPE at all times and comply with Safe Systems of Work.
