Food Technology Teacher

Veritas Education are currently seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher for a welcoming secondary school in Dewsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and develop their practical cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and understanding of food science within a supportive school environment.This position is offered on a 0.8 FTE basis (4 days per week) and is suitable for both experienced teachers and ambitious ECTs.The RoleAs a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop confidence, creativity, and essential life skills through practical and theoretical learning.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement.Assess, monitor and report on student progress.Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times within practical lessons.Contribute to the wider life of the school and department.The Ideal Candidate Will HaveQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting.Strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education.Excellent classroom management and communication skills.A ..... full job details .....
