Food Technology Teacher North Suffolk January 2027 Start Maternity Cover Full or Part Time MPS to UPS About the opportunity Think Education Partners is recruiting a qualified Food Technology Teacher for a maternity cover position at a secondary school in North Suffolk, starting in January 2027. This opportunity is open to teachers seeking either full time or part time work. You will teach KS3 and KS4, combining practical cooking lessons with the knowledge pupils need to understand food, nutrition and safe food preparation. Your objectives As the school s Food Technology Teacher, you will help pupils to: Develop confidence and independence in preparing and cooking food. Understand nutrition, ingredients and the principles behind food preparation. Build practical skills through lessons that are accessible and appropriately challenging. Make progress towards their learning goals and KS4 assessments. Develop safe and organised working habits in the kitchen. Your responsibilities Plan and deliver Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4. Balance practical activities with clear teaching of subject knowledge. Assess pupils work and provide feedback that helps them improve. Adapt lessons to meet different abilities and learning needs, including SEND.
