Pay: andpound;160 - andpound;240 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:00am andndash; 4:00pm | Full-Time
Location: Near Totton, Southampton

Position Overview:

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a secondary school located close to Totton, Southampton, to recruit a committed Food Technology Teacher. This maternity cover role begins in Novemberandnbsp;2025 and will run until July 2026, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The successful teacher will be joining a supportive Design andamp; Technology department, dedicated to engaging students in practical and creative learning. This opportunity is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators with a passion for Food Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Encourage students to develop essential cooking skills, healthy eating knowledge, and a passion for food.
• Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Contribute to departmental development and curriculum planning.
• Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and achievement.
• A mixed 11andndash;16 secondary school based close to Totton, Southampton.
• Rated andlsquo;Goodandrsquo; by Ofsted (2022) with a positive ethos and inclusive culture.
• Supportive Senior Leadership Team committed to staff wellbeing and development.
• Easily accessible with strong transport links.
• A degree in Food Technology, Design andamp; Technology, or a related subject (essential).
• QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (preferred).
• Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4.
