Pay: andpound;165 - andpound;245 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:00am andndash; 4:00pm | Full-Time
Location: Near Totton, Southampton
Position Overview:
Supply Desk is working in partnership with a secondary school located close to Totton, Southampton, to recruit a committed Food Technology Teacher. This maternity cover role begins in October 2025 and will run until July 2026, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be joining a supportive Design andamp; Technology department, dedicated to engaging students in practical and creative learning. This opportunity is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators with a passion for Food Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Encourage students to develop essential cooking skills, healthy eating knowledge, and a passion for food.
- Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Contribute to departmental development and curriculum planning.
- Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and achievement.

What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:
- A degree in Food Technology, Design andamp; Technology, or a related subject (essential).
- QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (preferred).
- Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A genuine enthusiasm for Food Technology and inspiring young learners.
