Food Technology Teacher

We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and well-established secondary school for a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their Design and Technology department as soon as possible.This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to deliver engaging, practical lessons that inspire students to develop essential cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and a love for food. The role will involve teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons with a strong practical focusTeach key concepts including nutrition, food safety, and preparation techniquesAssess, monitor, and report on student progressMaintain a safe, clean, and well-organised kitchen/classroom environmentContribute to the wider Design and Technology departmentRequirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Specialism or experience in Food Technology or a related subjectExperience teaching in a UK secondary school settingStrong classroom management and organisational skillsA passion for practical learning and student developmentAll candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check.
