Food Technology Teacher
Monarch Education is working with a secondary school in Tipton to recruit a full-time Food Technology Teacher to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 on a long-term basis starting in SeptemberRole OverviewPlan and deliver Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculumTeach across KS3 and KS4Prepare students for GCSE coursework and practical assessmentsMaintain classroom and kitchen safety in line with school policiesDifferentiate lessons to support a range of abilities, including SENMonitor, assess, and track student progress and attainmentContribute to wider school activities, including intervention sessions where requiredKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver practical and theory-based Food Technology lessonsSupport students in developing cooking skills, nutrition knowledge, and food safety awarenessEnsure safe use of equipment and maintain hygiene standards in practical lessonsUse assessment data to inform lesson planning and targeted supportWork with colleagues on curriculum planning and resource developmentMaintain accurate records of student progress and courseworkRequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essentialExperience teaching Food Technology in a UK secondary schoolAbility to teach across KS3 and KS4Strong classroom and behaviour management skillsKnowledge of GCSE Food Technology specifications and assessment requirementsEarly Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply Benefits of Working with Monarch Education: leading provider, Crown Commercial ..... full job details .....
