We are seeking an exceptional-Food Technology Teacher-to join our dedicated team. As a-Food Technology Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach-Food Technology-across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and hands-on cooking experiences.

What you''ll do as a Food Technology Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative-Food Technology-lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, fostering a love of cooking and food in our students.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to experiment, create, and develop their culinary skills.
  • Teach a variety of cooking techniques and food preparation methods, ensuring students gain a solid foundation in-Food Technology.
  • Incorporate theoretical knowledge of nutrition, food science, and food safety into your lessons, providing students with a well-rounded understanding of-Food Technology.
  • Assess students'' practical skills and theoretical understanding through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods. -
  • Contribute to the development of the-Food Technology-curriculum and departmental resources, ensuring our teaching remains current and engaging.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of-Food Technology-teaching.

What you''ll need to be a successful Food Technology Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in-Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching-Food Technology-at the secondary level. -
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for-Food Technology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for-Food Technology-and a commitment to inspiring students.
  • A creative and engaging teaching style.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety procedures in a food technology environment.
