Are you passionate about food and enjoy working in a practical environment? We are seeking a Food Technician to support secondary schools across East London.

You will work alongside teachers and students, helping to prepare and run practical food technology lessons while ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation.

• Prepare ingredients, equipment, and classrooms for practical lessons

• Support and demonstrate food preparation and cooking techniques

• Maintain and safely operate kitchen equipment

• Manage food stocks, ingredients, and ordering

• Ensure high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health and safety

• Support teachers and students during practical lessons and projects

• Experience in food technology, catering, hospitality, or a similar practical role

• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safe working practices

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• A proactive and practical approach

• A genuine interest in food and supporting students

• Work across well-resourced secondary schools in East London

• Gain valuable experience in education

• Term-time only working

• Support students in developing practical food skills
