Food Technician Long-Term Position Location: ThurrockPosition: Food TechnicianContract: Long-Term, Full-TimeStart Date: ASAPAgency: Principal EducationFood Technician Long-Term Opportunity in Thurrock Principal Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Food Technician to join a secondary school in Thurrock on a long-term basis.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Food Technology, catering, hospitality or school-based food preparation who enjoys supporting teachers and students in a practical classroom environment.The successful candidate will work closely with the Food Technology department, ensuring lessons are well prepared and that students have access to the equipment and resources they need.Key Responsibilities Prepare ingredients, equipment and resources for Food Technology lessons.Support teachers during practical food lessons.Ensure kitchens, classrooms and equipment are clean, organised and ready for use.Maintain appropriate food hygiene, health and safety standards.Monitor and maintain stock levels, ordering supplies when required.Assist with the preparation and organisation of practical examinations and assessments.Ensure equipment is safely stored and maintained.Support students during practical activities where appropriate.Follow school policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, food hygiene and health and safety.
