Job Role: Food Skills TutorLocation: HMP BelmarshSalary: From £30,000 + £5,000 London WeightingContract: Permanent, full timeWorking Environment: Prison-based role with full on-site deliveryRole Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality, practical vocational training to learners at HMP Belmarsh. In this rewarding position, you will help learners develop industry-relevant catering skills, build confidence, and work towards recognised qualifications that support their longer-term career aspirations. Working with small groups, you will design structured lessons, lead hands-on workshop sessions, and support learners through all stages of their development. Your contribution will play a vital part in rehabilitation, progression and successful learner outcomes within a secure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesVocational Delivery and Learner EngagementDeliver engaging, practical catering lessons and workshop sessions to small groups. • Develop learners'' professional catering skills, food safety knowledge and workplace behaviours. • Tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs and align delivery with qualification standards. • Assess learner progress and provide clear, constructive and motivating feedback. • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment outcomes and learner achievement.Learner Support and ProgressionBuild a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. • Encourage learners to develop confidence, ..... full job details .....
