What will I be doing?The FandB Cost Controller analyzes Food and Beverage costs and controls factors to ensure cost-effective measures throughout the FandB department. This role prepares various reports and conducts weekly meetings to keep departments and directors informed of trends and cost factors. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following:
Plan and direct actions to correct activities harmful to the profitability of our food and beverage department.
Assist in any other way deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the Finance Department within policy and regulatory frameworks.
Partner with all hotel finance team members and the FandB department.
Participate in relevant Finance training and development programs. In case of a joint job role, responsibilities relevant to joint job descriptions will apply in accordance with Hilton’s job segregation policies.
What are we looking for?
Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate to address issues
Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems
Ability to help develop problem-solving skills among direct reports and team members
Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for the team to fulfill responsibilities
Detail-oriented and organized
Ability to develop presentations and present to all levels of the company, hotels and owners
Strong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers)
Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs
