Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer to join on an initial 12-month contract. As a Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer , you will act as the technical lead on an RandT project exploring auto-ignition temperatures for Sustainable Aviation Fuel.Role: Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer Pay: 50 per hour Via Umbrella Location: Filton Contract: Monday- Friday, 35Hours per week, 12 Month contract IR35 Status: Inside Security Clearance: BPSSResponsibilities Lead the team in completing the detailed design phase and passing CDR (critical design review).Develop and implement the build plan.Lead the Verification and Validation of the built test rig and ensure entry into service.Co-ordinate technical activities within the team ensuring correct prioritisation of topics.Support the team in their day to day activities to overcome any technical challenges Essential Skills Experience of working in a test laboratory environment.Experience of working in hazardous environmentsExperience of systems testing techniques.Experience of working with Large, High Pressure, Fluid Mechanical SystemsFamiliarity with Hydro Mechanical instrumentation installationsFamiliarity with Data logging/Acquisition.Ability to influence and work across disciplinary, organisational and trans-national boundaries.
