FLT Production Operative

FLT Production Operative - Birtley

We are recruiting a number FLT Production Operatives to join a leading manufacturing client in Birtley.
These are  long-term opportunities which combine forklift duties and hands-on production responsibilities. Some positions also require a full UK driving licence due to transporting materials between units.

Key Duties

• Operating Counterbalance FLT safely

• Transporting materials across site (and between units where required)

• Working on a fast-paced production line

• Machine operation

• Packing and quality checking products

• Manual handling and lifting

• Vessel cleaning using jet wash equipment

• Working with solvent-based products (PPE provided)

• Adhering to COSHH and health & safety procedures

• Completing shift handovers

Shift Pattern

• 2 days 6:00am – 6:00pm

• 2 nights 6:00pm – 6:00am

• 4 days off

Continental rotating pattern which involves some weekend working. Breaks are paid.

Requirements

• Accredited Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)

• Full UK driving licence for positions involving transport between units (where applicable)

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

• Able to work continental shifts

• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred

• Good attention to detail and teamwork skills
