FLT Driver

Job Specification FLT Driver (Counterbalance) Stalybridge Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts (6:00 AM 2:00 PM / 2:00 PM 10:00 PM) Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Shift Manager £13.22 per hour Key Responsibilities: Operate Forklift Trucks (FLT) safely and efficiently Counterbalance Load and unload deliveries from vehicles and trailers in a timely manner. Safely stack and store goods in designated warehouse locations. Work closely with incoming and outgoing drivers, ensuring paperwork is completed and goods are checked. Carry out vehicle checks and report any maintenance or safety issues. Use of warehouse systems or scanners (as applicable) to log stock movements. Ensure working areas are clean, tidy, and comply with health and safety standards. Support other general warehouse duties when required (e.g., picking, packing, pallet wrapping). Requirements: Valid FLT license (Counterbalance and/or Reach) in date and accredited. Previous experience in a similar FLT or warehouse role. Comfortable working rotating shifts (6-2 / 2-10). Good communication skills and ability to work with delivery drivers and warehouse team. Attention to detail, especially when checking goods and completing paperwork. Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Desirable: Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS). Experience in a logistics, manufacturing or distribution environment.
