Main responsibilities for our Metal Recycling Operative role include: - Operating machinery (such as plasma cutters and bandsaws) to break down automotive components - Strip parts down with use of hand tools - Sorting parts into separate categories by hand - Use of Forklift truck to move the granulated products around the shop floor - Working in a sampler station to help identify the concentration of precious metals in each component (e.g. platinum/radium) Although you will likely be assigned a core area, it would be the company''s vision to offer cross-training in multiple areas to maximise your knowledge.
