About the Role

Pertemps Coventry Commercial is seeking a FLT Driver to join a manufacturing site in Cubbington. This temporary role pays £16.18 per hour, with a weekly shift allowance of £115.35 for completed rotations. The position operates on a rotating weekly pattern: week one comprises day shifts from 06:00 to 14:30 Monday to Thursday, finishing at 12:00 on Friday; week two covers afternoon shifts from 14:30 to 23:00 Monday to Thursday, ending at 18:00 on Friday. As a FLT Driver, you will safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift, load and unload deliveries, and supply production areas efficiently. Manual material handling is also required. Candidates should possess a valid FLT licence and prior experience in a similar hands-on environment.

The RolePertemps are recruiting for an experienced FLT / Material Handler to join a busy manufacturing environment in Leamington Spa. This is a hands-on role combining forklift operation with manual material handling, ensuring materials are moved safely and production is supplied efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Supplying production areas with materials.
  • Transporting finished goods to storage locations.
  • Manual handling of materials weighing up to 25kg.
  • Accurately booking stock in and out.
  • Carrying out stock movements and inventory tasks.
  • Completing daily FLT safety checks.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Following all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable with manual handling of loads up to 25kg.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
  • Able to work the rotating shift pattern.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
