About the Role

Pertemps Coventry Commercial is recruiting an FLT Driver for a full-time, temporary position based in Binley. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £13 to £18. You will operate an electric-powered Counterbalance FLT with clamp and fork attachments to load, unload, and move materials safely across the site. Additional duties include operating a wheeled loading shovel to transport recyclable materials, managing traffic flow within the infeed hall, and using single and twin RAM balers to produce bales for storage and dispatch. This position requires previous FLT driving experience and a strong commitment to workplace safety. It is a long-term role within a busy recycling and waste management operation.

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an FLT driver to join a well-established recycling and waste management company in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FLT driver looking for a long-term position within a busy and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

Operate an electric-powered Counterbalance FLT with clamp and fork attachments.
Load, unload and move materials safely throughout the site.
Operate a wheeled loading shovel to transport recyclable materials and feed the recycling process.
Manage traffic flow within the infeed hall while maintaining a safe working environment.
Operate both single and twin RAM balers to produce bales ready for storage and dispatch.
Carry out routine housekeeping and cleaning duties within the outfeed hall.
Complete daily equipment checks and report any defects.
Follow all company health and safety procedures and environmental regulations.
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the recycling operation.

What We're Looking Fo

Experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck and Loading Shovel.
A valid UK driving licence.
Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
A flexible and reliable approach to work.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
