FLT Driver (Multi-Skilled Operative) An excellent opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled operative to join a growing company in Peterlee. Due to continued business expansion, the successful candidate will support site operations by operating plant machinery and working as a Forklift Truck (FLT) driver. This is initially a day-shift position, with the potential to move onto shift work in the future as the company continues to expand. Role Overview As a multi-skilled FLT Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring site operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Operating heavy plant machinery safely and effectively Following strict health and safety procedures at all times Maintaining general housekeeping standards across the site Working collaboratively with team members to support production flow Responding to changes within the production process Using initiative to improve operational efficiency Operating a Forklift Truck once trained Requirements Previous experience operating machinery (advantageous) FLT experience is essential (in-house FLT certificates accepted) Comfortable working around heavy machinery Good understanding of site health and safety procedures Reliable, adaptable, and able to work effectively within a team Additional Information Due to the high volume of applications received, individual feedback cannot always be provided.
