FLT / Warehouse Operative – Bedfordshire

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:30 | Friday 08:00–14:45

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT / Warehouse Operative to join a successful and growing manufacturer and distributor of leisure products based in Bedfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys a hands-on mix of forklift driving and general warehouse duties and is looking for a stable, permanent position with a company that offers long-term career opportunities.

As an FLT / Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role across the warehouse operation, supporting goods-in, goods-out, stock control, picking, packing, loading and unloading, alongside operating FLT equipment safely and efficiently.

• Operate Reach and VNA forklifts safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Load and unload vehicles, ensuring goods are handled safely and securely.
• Receive and check incoming deliveries against relevant paperwork.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately for dispatch.
• Move, locate and replenish stock within the warehouse.
• Ensure all goods loaded and unloaded match the relevant documentation.
• Complete stock movements using handheld scanners/WMS systems.
• Assist with inventory checks and maintain accurate stock levels.
• Identify and report damaged, missing or incorrect goods.
• Handle products carefully to minimise damage.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and warehouse processes.
• Work closely with colleagues to achieve daily operational targets and customer deadlines.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience working in a busy warehouse environment.
• Valid Reach and VNA FLT licences – essential.
• Counterbalance and PPT experience/licences – desirable.
• A strong background in warehouse operations alongside FLT driving.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with picking, goods-in, goods-out and stock control.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A strong work ethic and reliable attitude.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to safe working practices.
