Job Title: FLT Counterbalance OperatorDepartment: Manufacturing / ProductionReports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Production ManagerHourly rate: 13.36ph + 10 shift allowance per dayShift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 2pm to 11pm and Friday 2pm to 6pmLocation: HuddersfieldJob PurposeTo safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) within a manufacturing environment, ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping.Key Responsibilities Operate a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations. Load and unload vehicles, ensuring goods are handled correctly and securely. Transport raw materials, components, and finished products between production and storage areas. Supply production lines with materials and remove completed goods. Carry out routine FLT safety checks and report any defects promptly. Accurately complete stock movements using warehouse management systems, scanners, or paperwork. Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and cycle counts. Ensure products are stored correctly and locations are maintained accurately. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Support general warehouse and manufacturing duties as required. Follow all company quality procedures and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
