We''re recruiting for a Floor Manager to join an exciting new sportswear and fashion pop-up store in Portsmouth.

This is a 4-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent as the business continues to grow.

We''re looking for an experienced Floor Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Sales Assistant who enjoys leading from the front and can help deliver a successful new store opening.

The Role

As Floor Manager, you''ll play a key role on the shop floor, supporting the management team and helping to deliver strong sales and an excellent customer experience.
You''ll be responsible for:

• Leading and supporting the team on the shop floor
  
• Driving sales and supporting the team to achieve KPIs and targets
  
• Delivering an excellent customer experience
  
• Coaching and motivating team members
  
• Supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with the day-to-day running of the store
  
• Maintaining strong visual merchandising and brand standards
  
• Supporting stock deliveries, replenishment and stock management
  
• Helping with opening and closing procedures
  
• Taking ownership of the shop floor and ensuring high standards are maintained
  
• Supporting the management team with store operations when required
  

About You

We''re looking for someone with previous retail supervisory or team leadership experience who is confident leading a team and enjoys being hands-on.

You''ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Floor Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader, Senior Sales Assistant or similar
  
• Experience leading or supervising a retail team
  
• A strong customer-focused approach
  
• Experience working towards sales targets and retail KPIs
  
• Good commercial awareness
  
• Experience with stock and day-to-day retail operations
  
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
  
• A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the front
  
• An interest in sportswear, fashion, fitness or performance retail
  

This is a great opportunity to join a new store opening in Portsmouth, gain further management experience and play an important role in establishing the store, with the potential to continue with the business beyond the initial 4-month contract.
