About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Floor Layer to join our Repairs and Maintenance team, delivering high-quality flooring works across our social housing stock. You’ll play a key role in improving the homes of Nottingham residents, ensuring safety, comfort, and long-lasting finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install a wide range of floor coverings including vinyl, carpets, laminate, and safety flooring.

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and repairing subfloors as needed.

• Work within occupied and void properties, maintaining professionalism and care.

• Ensure all work is completed to high standards, within health & safety guidelines.

• Collaborate with other trades as part of our multi-skilled team.

• Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience as a floor layer, ideally in social housing or similar environments.

• Knowledge of flooring materials and preparation techniques.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong customer service approach, especially when working in tenant homes.

• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 2 in Floorcovering or equivalent.

• CSCS Card.

• Asbestos Awareness Certificate.
