Responsibilities: Assessment of planning applications; ordinary watercourse consents; flood risk assessments and drainage strategies in accordance with national and local standards and policies. Provision of technical support to the highway development team on planning applications including interpreting drainage strategies and flood risk assessments. Undertaking Technical Approvals on drainage design and drainage model submissions, ensuring designs are compliant with national legislation, National Standards and Policy. Provision of advice on drainage submissions associated with Sections 38, 278 Highways Act 1980 and Section 106 agreements under the Town and Country Planning Act. Flood Risk Management Providing support to develop the process and procedures on flood incident investigations and flood risk management.
