Flood Risk ConsultantLocation: BristolSalary: 35,000 - 45,000 + benefitsType: PermanentA growing environmental consultancy is looking for a Flood Risk Consultant to join their Bristol team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in flood risk and drainage to work across a range of development and infrastructure projects.The RoleYou will be involved in delivering flood risk and drainage projects from initial assessment through to technical reporting and client delivery. Responsibilities will include:Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategiesUndertaking flood risk and catchment assessmentsSurface water management and SuDS designSupporting hydraulic modelling and flood mappingReviewing development proposals and identifying flood constraintsPreparing technical reports for planning applicationsLiaising with clients, local authorities and other consultantsSupporting projects from feasibility through to detailed designAbout YouDegree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Hydrology, Environmental Science or a related subjectPrevious experience in flood risk, drainage or water consultancyExperience producing Flood Risk Assessments and/or drainage strategiesKnowledge of UK flood risk legislation, policy and guidanceExperience with hydraulic modelling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or HEC-RAS would be beneficialStrong technical writing and communication skillsFull UK driving licence desirableThis is an excellent opportunity for a Flood Risk Consultant ..... full job details .....
