Job Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and well-being
- Implement individual care plans tailored to each resident''s needs and preferences
- Monitor and record residents'' progress, behaviours, and any changes in health status
- Promote a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed
- Support residents in engaging with community activities and social events
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver holistic care
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to organisational policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a support worker, care assistant, or similar role is desirable
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Empathy, patience, and resilience to support individuals with diverse needs
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins if required
