The mission of the Capability Operations domain is to support, develop and deliver world-class customer-oriented computational simulation means, advanced studies and services in particular for aerodynamics disciplines , through technical excellence, continuous innovation and realistic commitments. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has progressed rapidly during the last several decades and has fundamentally changed the aircraft design process. Supporting the aero designer at the beginning, the advances of this computational science, closely coupled with the rapid progress of high-performance computing hardware at the same time, have become an essential capability in the simulation-based engineering design process and also in aero-modelling.
