Flight Physics Capabilities - Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer
Job Description: A vacancy for a Computational Fluid Dynamics engineer (m/f/d) has arisen within the Engineering Flight Physics Capability Teams within Airbus Civil Aircraft in Filton . The mission of the Capability Operations domain is to support, develop and deliver world-class customer-oriented computational simulation means, advanced studies and services in particular for aerodynamics disciplines , through technical excellence, continuous innovation and realistic commitments. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has progressed rapidly during the last several decades and has fundamentally changed the aircraft design process. Supporting the aero designer at the beginning, the advances of this computational science, closely coupled with the rapid progress of high-performance computing hardware at the same time, have become an essential capability in the simulation-based engineering design process and also in aero-modelling. The CFD applications cover a large spectrum of the flight envelope like attached high Reynolds number subsonic and transonic flows, open rotor flows, separated internal and external flows, aeroelastic, aerothermal and multiphase flows. We are looking for an engineer with wide competencies in applied CFD . The candidate will be capable of performing all advanced internal and external flow studies (RANS, URANS, and LES) on a complex aircraft configuration, including geometric preparation, mesh generation, analysis, and post-processing. They will have to show ..... full job details .....
