Fleet Specialist Mechanic - Northampton

An established organisation is seeking a Fleet Specialist Mechanic to join its repairs team in Northampton on an initial 3-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with hands-on mechanical, engineering, maintenance, or repair experience who are looking to develop their skills within a growing operation. Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for individuals with strong practical aptitude, even if they do not have direct electric vehicle experience.

• Location: Northampton NN4
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 3 Months
• Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm
• Weekend Work: Required on a rota basis
• Pay Rate: -14.14 per hour

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair electric vehicles
• Support the preparation and handling of new vehicle inventory
• Carry out inspections and basic fault finding
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
• Work closely with the wider repairs and operations teams

• Experience in a mechanical, engineering, maintenance, assembly, fitting, or repair-based role
• Practical and hands-on approach to work
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and undertake training
