Metal FitterLocation: Walsall Area Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour Shift: Day ShiftMonday Thursday: 7:54am 4:30pmFriday: 7:54am 1:30pmThe RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team based in the Walsall area. This role involves hands-on work on large structural projects including bridges, ships, and industrial tanks.This Fitter role is workshop-based and requires a strong background in manual metalwork rather than purely machine-led processes.Key Requirements (Essential)Candidates must be able to demonstrate:Proven experience working with stainless steel and carbon steelPrevious experience carrying out fitting work, including plater-level tasksAbility to cut, shape, and form metal by handWillingness to provide examples of previous metalwork projectsStrong ability to read and interpret technical drawingsExperience using a wide range of hand toolsPractical, hands-on fabrication experience (not just machine operation)Desirable SkillsTacking / tack welding experienceWhat We Offer£17.00 per hourDay shifts with an early Friday finishLong-term work on reputable, large-scale steel projectsIf you are an experienced Fitter looking for a stable day-shift role in the Walsall area, we would like to hear from you.
