      <description>Location: Barnsley | Salary: 10000-500000 Annual | Type: Permanent | Our client, a well known manufacturing business is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, carrying out maintenance, repairs, installations, and continuous improvement activities to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical maintenance background within manufacturing, production, or industrial environments and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a maintenance team. Key Responsibilities  Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing machinery and production equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime. Strip, repair, overhaul, and rebuild mechanical components including gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, bearings, and motors. Install, align, and commission new machinery and equipment.
