Firmware Test and Automation Engineer

Job Title: Firmware Test and Automation EngineerLocation: CambridgeSalary: £50,000 to £70,000 Employment Type: PermanentWorking Arrangements: Onsite workingWe re supporting a brilliant engineering team who are looking for a Firmware Test Automation Engineer to take ownership of their automated testing system (ATS). This is a hands on role where you ll be writing code, building tests, investigating failures, and working closely with firmware engineers to keep development moving smoothly. What you ll be doing- Developing, maintaining, and improving the automated test system (ATS).- Writing C# code to build new automated tests and enhance existing ones.- Investigating failures from test runs and communicating findings clearly to the business- Reviewing code, capturing requirements, and ensuring the system stays robust and scalable.- Working closely with firmware engineers.- Acting to drive the development of the ATS. What we re looking for- Professional experience writing C#.- Background in software testing or hardware/embedded testing.- Comfortable working with electronics/embedded systems.- Bonus skills: Python- Someone proactive, driven, and keen to take ownership.
