Search Consultancy is looking for an experienced, time-served Fire Stopper specialising in batt and mastic systems to join an active development in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are partnering with a specialist subcontractor requiring an attentive passive fire protection operative capable of carrying out high-quality installations at pace.

If you are a Fire Stopper who takes pride in neat, fully compliant penetration sealing, understands strict fire safety regulations, and wants to lock in high daily earnings with weekend overtime boosts, we have an immediate short-term contract available now.

The Role

• Batt & Mastic Installation: Cutting, fitting, and sealing high-density coated batt and intumescent mastic around mechanical, electrical, and plumbing service penetrations.

• Passive Fire Protection: Ensuring all fire-stopping systems strictly adhere to manufacturer technical datasheets and site structural fire strategy specifications.

• Quality & Handover: Delivering neat, tag-ready, and fully compliant installs ready for third-party QA inspections and client sign-off.

• Site Safety: Working safely around busy commercial/residential build areas, adhering strictly to site RAMS, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

• CSCS Card: A valid CSCS Card (Fire Stopper / Skilled Worker) is mandatory.

• Experience: Proven track record in passive fire stopping, specifically with high-volume batt and mastic applications on live sites.

• Tools & Kit: Full professional tool kit (caulking guns, serrated knives, measuring tools) and standard 5-point PPE.

• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and available to commit to continuous day shifts including weekend overtime where required.

• Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
