Location: Walsall, West Midlands Pay Rate: £21.00 £27.00 per hour (DOE) Contract: Temporary / Contract Sector: Commercial Construction and Passive Fire Protection Start Date: To be confirmed The Opportunity Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of an established passive fire protection specialist looking for experienced Fire Stoppers / Passive Fire Protection Installers to work on commercial projects based in Walsall, West Midlands. Our client requires skilled operatives with experience carrying out fire stopping installations and compartmentation works across commercial environments. Projects will predominantly involve offices, schools, hospitals, industrial buildings and other commercial premises rather than domestic properties. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining passive fire protection systems to help prevent the spread of fire and smoke throughout commercial buildings. Key responsibilities include: Installing fire-rated batt and board systems. Applying fire-rated mastics, sealants and intumescent materials. Installing fire collars, pipe wraps and penetration sealing systems. Sealing service penetrations around pipes, cables, ductwork and mechanical or electrical services. Installing linear gap seals and other approved fire stopping systems. Carrying out fire compartmentation remedial works. Identifying damaged, missing or non-compliant fire stopping installations.
