Fire & Security Engineer

Overview

Fire and Security Engineer role at Mitie Cleaning and Hygiene Services. An experienced engineer will join the Mitie Fire and Security Systems Operations Field service team to ensure effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works, in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and associated equipment to relevant legislative and qualitative standards.Maintain appropriate documentation and records in a timely and accurate manner.Work to high levels of Health and Safety standards; perform fault finding and resolve issues on Fire and Security systems.Participate in company-initiated training to keep knowledge up to date with technical aspects of the role.Assist with PPM, reactive calls and Small Works as part of the Field service team; adhere to RAMS and safety procedures.Qualifications

Experience in PPM, reactive calls and Small Works within the Fire and Security Systems industry.Service testing and inspection experience to relevant standards/codes; fault-finding techniques.Excellent communication skills and basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.Ability to work to high Health and Safety requirements and follow Health and Safety Legislation; able to work with little supervision and take initiative.Desirable: experience with RAMS and Accident Reporting; knowledge of Fire and Security systems design and installation.Benefits
