Responsible to: Fire Risk OfficerFire Risk ManagerKey relationships/Functional links with: Fire Risk OfficerStaff members at all levels. Residents, Statutory bodies including LFB, Members and 3rd party organisations including community groups etcMain Purpose of Job: Fire Risk OfficerEnsure that the Council meets its statutory obligation in regards to fire safety as set out in the Regulatory Reform Order and Building Safety Act and other regulationsMain Responsibilities / Accountabilities / KRA: Fire Risk OfficerThe jobholder will be expected to complete the responsibilities / accountabilities effectively in order to deliver the key objectives of the organisationTo ensure the Council complies with all relevant Fire Safety legislation and BS/EN standards Provide expert technical advice on the application and interpretation of fire safety guidance To provide a leading role in the development, implementation and management of Fire Safety across Councils housing stockTo commission and manage the annual programme of Fire Risk Assessments ensuring that all risk assessments are completed in line with contractual requirementsTo take responsibility for the management of fire risk actions arising from risk assessmentsInvestigate any fire related incidents in THH stock and work with colleagues to ensure that all follow up measures are completedTo carryout a programme of fire safety inspection across the housing stockTo undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may be allocated ..... full job details .....
