A growing and reputable consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join their expanding fire safety team.

This Fire Risk Assessor opportunity offers a varied role combining site-based assessments, technical reporting, and client-facing consultancy. The Fire Risk Assessor will play a key role in delivering high-quality fire safety services while supporting wider business growth.

The Fire Risk Assessor''s Role

The Fire Risk Assessor will be responsible for delivering fire risk assessments and associated consultancy services across a diverse range of properties. The Fire Risk Assessor will also contribute to quality assurance and training initiatives within the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Type 1 Fire Risk Assessments across various building types
  • Providing clear, concise, and practical fire safety advice to clients
  • Undertaking fire consultancy work, including compartmentation and intrusive surveys (with support where required)
  • Producing accurate, high-quality reports in line with current legislation and best practice
  • Supporting quality assurance processes by reviewing peer reports
  • Assisting with the delivery of training, both in-person and online
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting business development and contributing to revenue growth

The Fire Risk Assessor

The ideal Fire Risk Assessor will be technically competent, client-focused, and motivated to deliver high standards. The Fire Risk Assessor will be confident working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements include:

  • Experience delivering Fire Risk Assessments (Type 1 essential)
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and best practice
  • Experience or willingness to undertake compartmentation and intrusive surveys
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • A proactive and professional approach
