Fire Risk Assessor

Our client is a well-established fire risk, property and construction consultancy delivering fire safety and compliance services across residential, commercial, mixed-use and new-build developments throughout the North East.

Due to continued growth, they are expanding their fire safety team and are looking to recruit at Trainee Fire Risk Assessor, Fire Risk Assessor and Senior Fire Risk Assessor / Validator level.

Opportunities Available:-

Trainee Fire Risk Assessor

Salary: -33,000 - -35,000 + 10% Annual Bonus

Ideal for individuals who have gained some practical exposure to Fire Risk Assessments and are looking to develop their technical knowledge and qualifications.

Requirements:

• Some experience supporting or conducting Fire Risk Assessments.
• Basic understanding of fire safety legislation and fire risk management principles.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Desire to work towards recognised fire safety qualifications.
• Experience within fire safety, housing, construction, property or facilities management would be beneficial.

Fire Risk Assessor

Salary: -35,000 - -44,000 + 10% Annual Bonus

Suitable for candidates already carrying out Fire Risk Assessments independently.

Requirements:

• Experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments across residential and/or commercial properties.
• Excellent knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
• Experience assessing blocks of flats, social housing, HMOs and commercial premises.
• Ability to produce clear and practical fire risk assessment reports.
• Relevant fire safety qualifications desirable.
• Familiarity with PAS 79 methodology would be advantageous.

Senior Fire Risk Assessor / Validator

Salary: Up to -55,000 + 10% Annual Bonus

An excellent opportunity for experienced professionals looking to take a lead role within a growing consultancy.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments.
• Experience reviewing, validating and quality assuring FRA reports.
• Strong technical knowledge of current fire safety legislation and guidance.
• Ability to mentor and support junior assessors.
• Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
• Relevant fire safety qualifications and professional memberships.

Key Responsibilities for Fire Risk Assessor level and above:-

• Conduct Fire Risk Assessments in line with legislation and industry best practice.
• Assess a variety of property types including social housing, residential developments, HMOs, blocks of flats, commercial premises and new-build projects.
• Assess means of escape, passive fire protection measures and fire safety management systems.
• Produce clear, detailed reports with practical recommendations and risk ratings.
• Advise clients on compliance, risk management and remedial actions.
• Maintain knowledge of current legislation, guidance and industry developments.
• Support wider fire safety and compliance projects across the region.
