An established and growing fire safety consultancy is looking for an experienced Fire Engineer to join their team, working across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Engineer who wants exposure to a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects, while developing their technical knowledge within a supportive consultancy environment.The Fire Engineer''s RoleThe successful Fire Engineer will provide fire engineering advice throughout different stages of the design and construction process.Typical responsibilities will include:Producing and reviewing fire strategiesUndertaking site inspections and fire safety assessmentsProviding advice on means of escape, compartmentation and fire resistanceReviewing architectural and construction informationWorking with Approved Document B, BS 9991, BS 9999 and relevant fire safety guidanceAdvising clients, architects, contractors and design teamsSupporting projects in line with the Building Safety Act and current building regulationsAssisting with technical reports and design reviewsThe Fire EngineerThe successful Fire Engineer will ideally have:A degree in Fire Engineering or a closely related disciplinePrevious fire engineering consultancy experienceStrong knowledge of UK fire safety and building regulationsExperience producing fire strategiesMembership of the IFE or progress towards professional registrationStrong written and client-facing communication skillsA full UK ..... full job details .....
